SLIM TJ, how crowded was the PWHL game at USB arena and were there a lot of little kids in attendance? That's what is needed for the game to grow.

They're really pushing it. I feel like they did the same thing with the WNBA when it started and honestly haven't heard much since, but that may be due to me hating basketball

just posted this on last blog. Definitely more woman and kids over men, which is understandable. Lots of families

It’s a feel good event I’ll say that. Lots of positive vibes/people

They only sell seats for the lower bowl and only a little more then half of the lower bowl. The bench side has seats full and seats full up until behind the nets (almost like a horseshoe). So the side where the camera is set up had no people. Point is, I think they need more fans in order to really succeed, but they definitely have fans. The woman, and kids, were really enjoying themselves lol. I enjoyed it I have to say. We were about ten rows from the ice

One thing is, you can see how the woman can’t get much on their shots from the blue line, and in general, so goals are hard to come by which could be a problem. I think maybe they should do 4 on 4 for more offense in their games

Im personally not too thrilled with this the way its happening. The first fight, ok cool... second one, ok fine...

But now its just become completely meaningless.

Just a little something for yas lol (only posting it for where’s there is smoke there’s fire)…and maybe this is the only way they trade Kakko…

To add to the talk from yesterday. Per source says if Rangers were to add Goodrow into the package with Kakko and receive in return Vatrano + Henrique at 50% retained, Rangers would then be able to acquire Tarasenko's full cap hit at 5M and still have additional cap space for another minor trade for if they want to address 4th line or defense.. He says no doubt in his mind Drury would love to do this based off info he has but doubts that Anaheim would do this trade. We'll find out soon, something to definitely keep an eye on. We'll find out just how high Anaheim values Kaapo Kakko because Rangers are only going to trade him if a team trades for him at high value. Vatrano + Henrique both 50% retained is very high value package and he says this would be a win for the New York Rangers if it happens. Goodrow has a NTC but believes Anaheim wouldn't be on his 15 team no trade list. Anaheim is one of the few teams who per source says could take on his cap hit and would like a sweetner to do so, since they are a rebuilding team. He adds Goodrow is tight with Ryan Strome and is used to living in beautiful weather (San Jose and Tampa Bay). It'd be a comfortable environment for Goodrow to finish out his contract, although he'd be saddened to leave New York.

In the end he doesn't predict Ducks to accept this deal (but he says he could be wrong for if Ducks see Kakko as a big part of their future. He thinks Ducks are also looking at Necas as said yesterday). In conclusion he believes that Rangers end up keeping Kakko while adding Tarasenko + a cheap salary costing center.

Lavy should scratch him for a game or 2 and let him heal up. U can tell in that fight with Reaves he was fighting bc he felt like he had to, and his body was telling him not to. He was very concerned/probably in pain both his hands and face about taking more punches and also bruising up his hands more. Kid needs a break.

I don’t love Kakko for guys that we’ll get 1 or 2 years out of and then that’s the end of the trade. If we do trade him, I’d rather it be for another young player in a similar position.

Yea it could be him what I read

Play along for 5 minutes

Cup

Kreider Zib Vatrano
BLT
Cuylle Henrique Tarasenko
Edstrom/Rempe/JBrod/Vesey

I also think Jones would be in this proposed deal but it wasn’t in there for some reason

Meh. Not thrilling. You know I like Evangelista tho

If they traded jones I’d think Mackey would be the new 7th D right? Money is so tight I’m not sure they could get anyone else

I think for Tolvanen, but it would be a tough pill to swallow knowing we could’ve had him for free if Drury wasn’t a moron.

Because the consensus is, no one wants to trade Kakko for 29/30yo players, however the options in the 23-27yo range are extremely limited, and theres no telling if the GMs would trade them anyway.

I’d want a player like Tolvanen or Turcotte etc in return for Kakko. Add whatever pieces u want to make it work for either side, but that’s the foundation of the trade I’d want.

Im going to the game tomorrow so I wont be here much. Making up for it today.

On another note...

You think the convo's lately have been annoying... after tomorrow... there's no more games for us until the deadline, 3 1/2 days of percolating thoughts and trade proposals. So whatever happens tomorrow will dictate how this board will be for the following 3 1/2 days. Good luck. Im gonna try to stay away from it.

Facing Florida could be a good thing to face because they’ll really find out if they’re good enough to beat them, specifically, because they could be on a collision course to the ECF vs them. Really both teams could benefit from playing each other this close to the TDL and making any subsequent moves
